North Carolina beat Kentucky 75-73 to reach the Final Four. Here is how Twitter is handling that last sequence in this game.

Finally, the fourth ticket to Phoenix has been punched. Joining Gonzaga, Oregon and South Carolina in the Final Four will be North Carolina. In a battle of basketball blue bloods, North Carolina came out on top over Kentucky in the Elite Eight, 75-73.

With the game tied at 73 points apiece with seconds left, sophomore forward Luke Maye hits the most clutch shot of his life: a jumper just inside the three-point line to send the Tar Heels back to the Final Four.

North Carolina is the only team to get back to the Final Four from last year. The Tar Heels lost ironically on a buzzer-beater by Kris Jenkins of Villanova in the National Championship Game. Maybe the tide has turned and it will be North Carolina winning it all next weekend?

The next team North Carolina will have to go up against is Dana Altman’s Oregon. They looked phenomenal in their drubbing of Kansas in their Elite Eight game on Saturday night.

To say Twitter has lost its collective mind over this game would be an understatement. Twitter pretty much hates Kentucky and loves North Carolina. For a game that ended the way it did, the Twitter game was strong by many hanging out on the internet this Sunday evening.
