Damontae Kazee

Cornerback, San Diego State

The Denver Broncos could use some more secondary depth, especially with both of their starting corners aging. Damontae Kazee can definitely make plays, forcing 15 turnovers over his career at San Diego State. He’s also an excellent special teams player. Kazee has the tools necessary to be a very good nickel corner, a position quickly becoming more important in the NFL.

203

Jadar Johnson

Strong Safety, Clemson

T.J. Ward is over 30 and he’ll be a free agent after the 2017 season. The Denver Broncos don’t appear to have an immediate replacement. Lorenzo Jerome could fall here and they should jump all over him if he’s available. But he likely won’t be. Jadar Johnson is next in line. He can make plays and has an excellent motor. Johnson’s intensity and football IQ are off the charts.

238

Marquel Lee

Inside Linebacker, Wake Forest

Marquel Lee has everything it takes to be a solid starter in the NFL. The Denver Broncos love guys who can do it all. Lee did a bit of everything at Wake Forest, racking up 277 tackles and 14.5 sacks in three seasons as a starter. He also stood out playing on special teams.

252

Cameron Tom

Center, Southern Mississippi

Cameron Tom has gone under the radar in a draft lacking centers. With so many draft picks, the Denver Broncos can afford to draft a developmental guy. Tom has impressive athleticism, which makes him a natural fit for Denver’s offense. He likely needs at least a year on the practice squad since Denver will be integrating some power runs into their offense, but he has all the physical tools needed to have success in a zone offense.

Robert Davis

Wide Receiver, Georgia Southern

One of my favorite prospects in this draft, Robert Davis would be a great fit for the Denver Broncos. He has ideal size and has dominated just about everyone he has faced. Mike McCoy has a lot of success with big receivers, so Davis is worth taking a flyer on here if he slips through the cracks. If Sanders or Thomas miss time, he’d give the Broncos a big target to throw to.
