High Value SG

Delon Wright – Toronto Raptors ($3000): As I mentioned earlier, I can’t say with certainty that Wright is going to get steady minutes tonight, but he’s received exactly 24 in three of his last four games. He’s averaged about 25 FP per game over his last two and his salary remains at the minimum. Orlando is in the bottom ten against opposing point guards so if Wright gets minutes he will indeed be an excellent value play tonight, and you can roster him at the point or shooting guard.

Tony Allen – Memphis Grizzlies ($4000): Allen doesn’t have a very high ceiling, but he has been very steady of late with six straight games of 20 FP or more. He’s averaged 27 against the Kings this season over three games. Occasionally he can pop into the 30s, but if he gives you a high-20s total that would rock.

J.J. Barea – Dallas Maverick ($4000): I mentioned earlier that Barea has not produced great fantasy numbers since his return from injury, but he has taken minutes away from Yogi Ferrell. You’d think Carlisle would want the gritty, gutty Barea out there more tonight against Russell Westbrook, and the increased pace of play would help Barea put more fantasy points on the board. I will limit my exposure of him tonight but will definitely put him in some lineups.

Manu Ginobili – San Antonio Spurs ($3600): Manu is like Tony Allen in that his ceiling isn’t going to be very high, although he did go off for 37.5 against the Kings earlier this month. You play Manu because you want to spend up elsewhere and hope that he gets to 20 FP to give you about 6x value. That’s the scenario for tonight but I can see him doing some damage against J.R. Smith early in the game.
