8. Roush Fenway Racing

It’s not even a “how the mighty have fallen” story at this point for the Roush camp. A team that once fielded rides for Mark Martin, Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth is now just a two-car operation and not a very competitive one at that.

Trevor Bayne seems like an all-around great human being, and his unlikely Daytona 500 victory will always be one to remember. How bitterly ironic, though, that he would have been better off sticking with the Wood Brothers and driving the No. 21, where Ryan Blaney is doing just fine, than to join RFR.

In fact, Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. currently have just 43 points more than Blaney combined, and they’re trailing 3-2 in top-10 finishes. It’s not a Ford problem either, as Team Penske and Stewart-Haas Racing seem to have plenty of speed. It’s sad to see a once-proud organization in this state, though at least the performances of their XFINITY Series drivers provide a glimmer of hope.
