High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook – OKC Thunder ($13200): Westbrook shows absolutely no signs of slowing down as we near the finish of the regular season. They need to keep fighting to maintain or improve their seed lest they want a first-round matchup with either the Spurs or Warriors. Russ dropped an 83.5 FP bomb on the Magic last time they played. He’s undoubtedly the top point guard in play tonight.

Elfrid Payton – Orlando Magic ($7300): In that same game that Russ went off, Payton had himself a game too. He had 52.75 FP in that game and playing Payton is no longer the crap shoot it was earlier in the year. He’s a much steadier player now and the days of putting up fantasy point totals in the low double-digits seem to be a thing of the past. Whatever the case, Payton should be considered tonight in a fast-paced game against the Thunder.

Dennis Schroeder – Atlanta Hawks ($7700): Schroeder gets a spicy matchup against the 76ers, and he has stepped up his production with Paul Millsap out. Check out these shot totals for Schroeder over his last three games: 27, 24, 25. Those are Russell Westbrook shot attempts. Schroeder clearly does not rebound the ball like Russ, but he is averaging 47 FP per game over his last three and there’s no reason to think tonight will be any different.

Isaiah Thomas – Boston Celtics ($8000): I contemplated putting John Wall here, but I just don’t see him getting 60 or more FP in a third-straight game, especially after playing last night. He’s also going to be a chalky play, whereas Isaiah will not. His salary is now down a much more reasonable level and he gets the Bucks tonight, a team that played last night and one that he dropped 56.25 FP on earlier in the season. It seems odd but he could actually be a contrarian play tonight.
