High Value SF

Joe Johnson – Utah Jazz ($4700): Johnson has been getting more run of late and even getting some starts at power forward. As long as Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward remain out JJ remains a solid play, especially at the $4700 price tag he currently owns. If Hayward plays tonight that definitely tempers my excitement, so be on the lookout for an update there.

Joe Ingles – Utah Jazz ($5000): What goes for Johnson goes for Ingles. If Hayward is out then Johnson becomes a lead scoring option and Ingles gets more playing time. He played well in 35 minutes against the Pelican in his last game, putting up 33 FP in the process. But again, this is all predicated on Hayward sitting again.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot – Philadelphia 76ers ($3400): Rostering TLC tonight might depend on whether or not Gerald Henderson plays, so keep an eye on that. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t want to give TLC as much run as possible, but we’ll see. He played 32 minutes last night, so Sergio Rodriguez’s absence also seems to add to his workload. He went off against Brooklyn for a 17/9/3 line good for 37.25 FP. I wouldn’t hold your breath for a total like that tonight against Atlanta, but he needs to get to just 20 FP to hit 6x value. I think that’s a very reasonable ask.

Rodney McGruder – Miami Heat ($3400): McGruder is benefitting from the absence of Dion Waiters. He’s received over 30 minutes of playing time in two of his last four games, posting fantasy point totals of 29 and 25 in those games. Tyler Johnson was in foul trouble so that had something to do with the increased playing time, but McGruder seems firmly entrenched above Wayne Ellington, so he gets minutes at both small forward and shooting guard. This is a GPP-play only, but you have to love the matchup against the Knicks.
