Tanoh Kpassagnon

Defensive End, Villanova

Even after adding Williams in the second round, the Dallas Cowboys need to add a defensive end. Tanoh Kpassagnon from Villanova is an intriguing prospect who possesses a lot of upside. He’s very raw, but his physical traits are unbelievable.

Kpassagnon stands at 6-foot-7 and weighs 289 pounds. He reminds a lot of people of Jason Pierre-Paul because of his overall athleticism. In college, Kpassagnon put up 11 sacks in his senior year. However, he got them almost exclusively because he was more athletic than everyone. This strategy won’t fly in the NFL. Kpassagnon has to improve his technique.

However, because of his huge upside, he’s definitely worth taking in the fourth round. The Cowboys desperately have to get better at getting after the passer. Drafting one of the best pure pass rushers in the draft is a great way to do it. Even if Kpassagnon turns out to be just a situational pass rusher, he’ll be a very valuable player.

With his arm length and strength, he has what it takes to develop into a three down player. Kpassagnon isn’t nearly as polished as Pierre-Paul was coming out of college, but watching him play, the comparisons are justified. The Dallas Cowboys could be getting a steal here.
