Batista was one of the biggest names in pro wrestling during his run in WWE.

No. 20: Batista

Twitter handle: @DaveBautista

I remember the first time I saw Dave Bautista in a ring. It was WrestleMania 21. (I took some time away from wrestling. Give me a break.) He was facing Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event for the “Big Gold Belt”. When I saw him come out and heard the crowd pop for him a bit, I said, “Man, this dude’s a beast. Look at him.” My friends all told me, “Just wait. You’ll see.”

Batista went out and thoroughly (and I mean thoroughly) decimated Triple H to win his first world title. It was like Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena at SummerSlam 2015, but way worse because The Game was bleeding all over the place. It was a bloodbath and only one guy was bleeding. The match told an amazing story and I was sold on Batista being a big-time star in WWE.

Obviously, Batista’s no longer with the company, but he became a mega-star with the company and then has established a nice niche for himself in the two Guardians of the Galaxy films as Drax. He’s also a very good tweeter at times, too.

When asked about how much he works out still because during his days in WWE, it looked like he never left a gym, here’s what The Animal said:

God, I love a smart, sarcastic comment.

It’s good to see Evolution’s Animal evolve into a movie star and build a nice life for himself outside of WWE. He’s not The Rock by any means in Hollywood, but then again … who is?
