No. 16: “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair
Twitter handle: @RicFlairNatrBoy
Where do I even start with this legend?
The limousine-ridin’, jet-flyin’, kiss-stealin’, wheelin’ dealin’ son of a gun is not only a WWE Hall of Famer once, but twice as a member of The Four Housemen, arguably the greatest stable in the history of professional wrestling.
Ric Flair personifies wrestling and swagger. He was usually the bad guy that wanted you to hate your own life because it wasn’t as good as his as the Rolex-wearin’, diamond ring-wearin’ … OK, never mind. We’ve already done this bit.
Now, Flair is just a simple-minded tweeter who is trying to keep up with the times and the lingo of social media.
Case and point:
I’m not saying it’s my favorite tweet of all-time, but it’s in the discussion as the greatest tweet in the history of Twitter. I didn’t think I could love Flair more than I already did and then he does this. What a god.
Look at this man. Look how happy he is. Grown men gawk at the sight of Ric Flair. He’s a legend beyond comparison. There’s really nothing like him.
If anybody else tweets out and asks what “it’s lit” means, they get bashed beyond belief. They might even delete their Twitter account for a while. But, it’s Ric Flair. Everybody had fun with it. Flair was basically lit his entire career, so I hope once he found out what it meant, he didn’t stop using it.
Oh, and of course … he still stays within his gimmick even on Twitter. WOOOOOOOOO!
Long live Naitch.
