No. 13: Kenny Omega (NJPW)
Twitter handle: @KennyOmegamanX
I have a confession: I had heard of Kenny Omega before his six-star match with Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 11 this past January in the Tokyo Dome, but I really hadn’t watched that much of him until that match. I know feel like the world’s biggest idiot for not watching him sooner.
I had seen his tweets and matches of his in the past, but I didn’t really pay that much attention to him. (I call that the “Watch more than WWE, dummy” syndrome.) Kenny Omega is amazing. That match with Okada will be talked about for years to come.
Hell, after that match, I thought I was really going to be seeing a lot more of him because of the WWE rumors surrounding him. His contract was coming to an end in Japan and the WWE was rumored to have wanted him as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match.
Omega squashed the rumors by saying that he was planning on meeting with NJPW officials to sign a new contract for a year before the Rumble.
Still, that didn’t stop him from doing the good tweets.

Now that’s understanding how this works. Good job, Kenny. (Even John Cena got in on the fun by tweeting some hilarious things to get the nerds talking on his Instagram account.)
There’s no telling where Omega will end up around the same time next year with his deal supposedly being for just one year in NJPW and with AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Luke Anderson and Karl Gallows all here from Japan stops in the past, Omega could join a remarkable list of guys that have brought themselves and their fan bases to WWE.
For now, you should follow him on Twitter for more good tweets.
