No. 11: Colt Cabana
Twitter handle: @ColtCabana
Hey Colt Cabana, how you doing?
If you’ve watched professional wrestling that’s not under the World Wrestling Entertainment banner, you’ve probably heard about Colt Cabana before. Even if you haven’t seen him perform before, you’ve probably still heard of him.
Let’s take a trip back in the internet DeLorean and remember which podcast Phil Brooks (you know him better as CM Punk) went on to give his story about how and why he left WWE at the beginning of 2014 right after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
The host of the Art of Wrestling Podcast was and still is … Colt Cabana.
Cabana, Punk’s long-time friend in real life and on the independent scene of wrestling, has bounced around the fringes of WWE for years, but the relationship between the two has been strange and that’s being friendly about it.
Still, Cabana has established himself as an independent wrestling star all over the planet and he’s hilarious in the ring and shows that humor outside of it, too. If you haven’t seen an episode of Wrestling Road Diaries, make sure you do that when you finish checking out this list. Do it. It’s worth your time.
Timely, yet with a good amount of savagery. Well done, Colt.
Also, he has good merch. That’s always a good thing. I don’t know if Colt should change his in-ring name to Cabanada or not, but it’s something he should consider. At least when he’s in Canada.
Cabana’s one of the most unique stars in the professional wrestling world. His wrestling style is different than what you usually see. That shows on his Twitter account, too.
