No. 23: Taz (with one Z)

Twitter handle: @OfficialTAZ

I remember the show like it was yesterday. It was ECW One Night Stand in 2005 and it wasn’t WWE’s version of One Night Stand either. It was E-C-Freakin’-W’s version and it was awesome.

How awesome? Stone Cold Steve Austin showed up after the main event and hit a Stunner on Eric Bischoff and the invading members of RAW and SmackDown. In the final segment of the show with that Stunner, the stars from RAW and SmackDown met the entire ECW locker room in the ring at Hammerstein Ballroom and then all of sudden, music hits.

It’s Taz. And, it was Taz with ONE Z. Taz gets in the ring and goes right after Kurt Angle and then all hell broke loose.

The point is, whether it’s on Twitter or in the ring with Kurt Angle, Taz rules. He’s a little crazy, but you had to be to be a part of what ECW was all about. You had to be a lunatic at times and Taz certainly was. He was also the Human Suplex Machine and attempted to kill people in the ring long before Brock Lesnar ever tried to with suplex after suplex.

These days, you can find Taz tweeting every day at his official Twitter account and running his daily video show called The Taz Show, where he talks about anything and everything on CBS Sports Radio, including of course, pro wrestling.

The best follows in the pro wrestling Twitter world are the ones you see tweeting all the time. Taz is one of those guys.
