Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles

How this match should turn out is ultimately a cut-and-dry affair. One of the men in this match is an authority figure that maybe wrestles twice per year. The other is AJ Styles, one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet and part of the future of this company.

Yes, Shane needs to do something crazy—a position he put himself in after diving off the turnbuckle through the announcer’s table on SmackDown. However, this should be a relatively convincing win from AJ. He should withstand everything Shane throws at him and come out with a decisive victory that affords him the ability to come out on SmackDown arrogantly and needing to be taken down a peg by his next foe.

Non-Sanctioned Match: Seth Rollins vs. Triple H

This might be the most important match on the show in terms of the company’s future direction. In the past, it’s no secret that Triple H has had a propensity for getting himself over, even in losses. That simply can’t happen here. Yes, he’s going to try and punish Rollins and the face is going to be in peril. But what they can’t afford to do is cheapen the win.

With the match being non-sanctioned, there should be interference from the likes of Samoa Joe and even Stephanie McMahon. And Rollins should withstand all of it. He needs to take all of the punishment and still survive. Then, he needs to take out Triple H with his own move in the middle of the ring for the clean 1-2-3. Anything else hurts the future of WWE more than anything as Rollins can come out looking like the top face in the company, potentially.
