Dalvin Cook

RB, FSU

The Philadelphia Eagles lacked playmakers last season, as they were forced to go with guys like Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, and Jordan Matthews to lead the way offensively. While each of those players can make things happen from time to time, the Eagles need to spend their first round pick in 2017 on somebody who can carry the load in the backfield. That pick should be Dalvin Cook, who is coming off a record-setting career at Florida State.

Second-year quarterback Carson Wentz has to be happy with his franchise’s moves this offseason, as they brought in some serious help at wide receiver. The Eagles signed both Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith, meaning Matthews can be more of a complimentary weapon this season. Philly already had good, talented tight ends, so bringing in a quality running back would make them very scary on offense.

Dallas may take a step back in 2017, as they have seen nearly their entire secondary leave via free agency. With the New York Giants on the way up, and the Washington Redskins solid on both sides of the ball, the NFC East is going to be a tough nut to crack next season. Philadelphia has done a great job bringing in talent thus far, and a good draft class could make them the favorite in the division as they head towards training camp.
