John Ross

WR, Washington

The Baltimore Ravens will head into the 2017 NFL Draft with plenty of holes on their roster. The defense is starting to get up there in age, and with the departure of Steve Smith Sr., there is no star wide receiver for Joe Flacco to throw to. Bringing in someone who is going to lead the wide receiving corps is a must in April, and John Ross may be available at No. 16.

This wide receiving class has three first rounders in it, so the Ravens should be able to get one of them in the middle of the first round. In Ross, they would be getting the man who ran the fastest 40-yard dash recorded at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he is much more than that. He held the Washington Huskies come out of nowhere to play in the College Football Playoff last season, and he possess the ability to make all the catches at the next level.

Ross is as sure-handed as they come, and he is especially good at running the go-route. Flacco has a big arm, and he loves to take shots downfield, especially early in drives. Ross would give him the perfect wide receiver for his gunslinger mentality, and his arrival would soften the blow left by the departure of Smith this offseason.
