Jabrill Peppers

S, Michigan

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the better young teams in the NFL, and they have gotten a big boost from a nice offseason so far. The Bucs brought in prized wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who should team with Mike Evans to give star quarterback Jameis Winston two elite options at the position. Winston has looked every bit of his No. 1 overall pick status during his first two years in the league, and year three may mean the playoffs for the signal-caller.

While the offense is pretty solid heading into next season, the defense has a glaring hole in their secondary. While the defensive backs played well at times last season, the safety position needs a serious upgrade in 2017. Jabrill Peppers is one of the better players at his position in this draft, and could proved to be a very valuable asset to whichever team takes him in April.

Peppers did a little bit of everything for the Michigan Wolverines during his time in college, winning the Paul Hornung Award given to the most versatile player in college football. He is making the permanent switch to safety at the next level, and his size and strength could make him a standout player at the position. The Bucs will definitely go defense with their first round pick, and Peppers would be a nice fit for them picking at No. 19.
