2017 NFL Mock Draft: Browns bolster roster
By Brad Weiss
The Miami Dolphins were not expected to be very good in 2016, as they headed into the season with a first-year head coach. That man, Adam Gase, not only made the Dolphins a playoff team, but also changed the culture surrounding the team. The Dolphins are no longer the laughingstock of the AFC East, and are starting to put the pieces in place to be a playoff contender for years to come.
Gase is a quarterback-whisperer, and that was evident by Ryan Tannehill having one of the best seasons of his career. Had he not been hurt towards the end of the regular season, the team would have likely had a better showing than their blowout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Defensive end Mario Williams is gone from last years team, which means they need to bring in another pass rusher in the draft.
Taco Charlton is a good looking defensive player, who should be able to get after the quarterback at the next level. He has the ability to play in a 3-4, or 4-3, and would team perfectly on the other side of Cameron Wake. Miami is going to be very good next season, and adding Charlton to a roster that already brought in Lawrence Timmons and Andre Branch could make their defense tough to score on.
