Zach Banner

Offensive Line, USC

After attacking the defensive side of the ball, the Redskins invest a bit in the offense. Banner is an interesting piece who is a bit of a project but has the upside of a really good football player. He stands at 6-foot-8 and 353 pounds. However, he does not move well and would need some work to become a tackle. He also could be a power tackle and combined with Brandon Scherff, a technically sound player, they could have a guard duo of the future. At the worst, he is a swing player and a depth option on the line.

Ahkello Witherspoon

Cornerback, Colorado

This is a great defensive draft, but specifically a great defensive draft. With Bashaud Breeland and Josh Norman, the Redskins do not need immediate help at cornerback. However, they can look to the future with this pick and bet on the upside of Ahkello Witherspoon from Colorado.

Witherspoon tested great at the combine and has ideal height and arm length. He is raw in his technique, but he has great closing speed and can be brought along to be a potential starting cornerback in the NFL. He would be a second or mid third round pick in most drafts, but the depth of cornerback gives the Redskins an opportunity to find a steal in Ahkello Witherspoon.
