Deshaun Watson

QB, Clemson

The Cleveland Browns will pick twice in the first 12 picks, thanks to the trade they swung with the Philadelphia Eagles for the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. That pick became quarterback Carson Wentz, who went on to start all 16 games for the Eagles last season. At No. 12 in 2017, look for the Browns to take a quarterback as well, though they may spend their first season on the bench.

Deshaun Watson is one of the more interesting prospects in this draft, as some experts have him falling into the second round. While he does not have all the physical tools you look for in a prototypical NFL quarterback, he has something you cannot teach, heart. Watson willed his team back in their upset victory over Alabama for the national title, and showed the nation that he is a winner.

Watson is going to be selected in the first round, as this quarterback draft class is not that deep. While he may not be ready to start right away, he will definitely be a solid quarterback in the league at some point. The Browns need a real franchise quarterback, and with enough patience, they just may find it if they go with the Watson at No. 12.
