2017 NFL Mock Draft: Jets, Browns land quarterbacks
By Brad Weiss
For the Indianapolis Colts in 2016, it was another season on the outside looking in during playoff time. The Houston Texans have become the class of the AFC South, but the Colts have done some nice things this offseason to try to change that. They brought in wide receiver Kamar Aiken as another target for Andrew Luck, while also signing linebacker Sean Spence.
The goal for the organization has to be protecting Luck, who is taking far too many hits at this point. The offensive line has been an absolute joke the past couple of seasons, and eventually, those hits are going to take their toll on him. He has already missed significant time with injuries during his career, which has to be alarming considering how much money the team has invested in him.
At No. 15, the Colts should look to bolster that offensive line, and Ryan Ramczyk would be a nice addition. Ramczyk was the best offensive lineman in the Big Ten during his time at Wisconsin, and possesses the size and feet to stay on the left side at the next level. Even if Ramczyk has to move to the right side, adding him would be a nice grab in the middle of the first round. Indy has to take advantage of Luck’s prime, and the division should be up for grabs once again in 2017.
