Jabrill Peppers

S, Michigan

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a very solid season in 2016, though they fell short of their main goal of reaching the playoffs. With two seasons as the starter under his belt, quarterback Jameis Winston is ready to take his team to the next level, and the playoffs are definitely a possibility in 2017. The team does need help in the secondary, and with Jabrill Peppers making the permanent move to safety, he would be a nice selection at No. 19.

With the Atlanta Falcons representing the NFC in Super Bowl LI, and the Carolina Panthers doing the same in Super Bowl 50, the NFC South is definitely the cream of the conference. There is no reason this Tampa Bay team can’t make a run next season, especially with the addition of DeSean Jackson to an already solid offensive unit. They need to answer the question mark at running back, but that side of the ball appears set heading into next season.

The other side of the ball is what is going to make or break their season, as the division is loaded with offensive talent. Not being able to stop the pass is not going to go well in a division with the likes of Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees. Peppers is the pick at No. 19, and while he may experience some rookie issues in 2017, the Bucs are going to be happy they added such a versatile piece to the puzzle.
