Forrest Lamp

OT, Western Kentucky

Like the Detroit Lions, the Miami Dolphins were a surprise team in the NFL last season. First year head coach led the team to a Wild Card berth, though they were quickly erased from the postseason by the Pittsburgh Steelers. This offseason, they have done a nice job adding talent to their roster, and should be in for another run at the playoffs in 2017.

On defense, the Dolphins locked up linebacker Kiko Alonso, while also bringing in safety T.J. McDonald. Wide receiver Kenny Stills was brought back on a new deal, and they are expected to get a healthy Ryan Tannehill back before training camp. Running back Jay Ajayi had a breakout season in 2016, so the Dolphins should be able to move the ball consistently next season.

Adding depth to the offensive line has to be a priority, and Forrest Lamp of Western Kentucky is a strong looking kid. While playing offensive tackle in college, Lamp showed he has the size and feet to stay there at the next level, though he could also end up at guard in the NFL. Wherever he ends up, he gives the Dolphins more beef along the offensive line, which is exactly what they need if they want to make a return trip to the playoffs.
