Dalvin Cook

RB, Florida State

This would be a perfect scenario for the New York Giants if they could get an elite running back this late in the first round. Although the team brought in Shaun Draughn recently, he is definitely not a legitimate starting running back in this league, which is an area the Giants struggled to get production from in 2016. If Dalvin Cook from Florida State is available at No. 23, the Giants should pounce on him, as he would be the best running back they have had in a long time.

During his record-setting career with the Seminoles, Cook showed the kind of talent that is going to equate to the NFL. Not only can he run around the defense, but he is not afraid to go up the middle, where he has great vision. The Giants were pretty vanilla on offense last season, and it really hurt them when it came time for the playoffs.

This offseason, the Giants brought in Brandon Marshall, who will team with Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard to form quite a trio at wide receiver. However, if the Giants do not bring in somebody who can consistently get yards on the ground, they are going to be limited once again next season. Cook is a player who may very well be gone in the first ten picks, but if he slips to the Giants, they would have quite a dangerous lineup on offense next season.
