Marshon Lattimore

CB, Ohio State

The Tennessee Titans went out and filled a big void in their secondary this free agency period, spending big bucks to bring Logan Ryan to the team from the New England Patriots. Ryan joins a secondary that was very thin behind Jason McCourty last season, but is now significantly better because of him. With the fifth overall pick this month, expect the Titans to bring in more depth in the secondary, and Marshon Lattimore would have to be the play here.

Lattimore is the best cornerback prospect in this draft, and rightfully so. During his time with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Lattimore led a defense that was one of the best in college football. There could be as many as three players from that Ohio State secondary taken in the first round this month, with Lattimore being the first of the group to come off the board.

The Titans are in a very good spot as they head into the draft, as they own two of the first 18 picks. They had a breakout season in 2016, nearly making the playoffs, and their young quarterback appears to be the real deal. Tennessee plays in a very winnable division, and though the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts will likely be solid next season, they have the pieces in place to make a serious run.
