High Value SG

Ben McLemore – Sacramento Kings ($3800): I didn’t think there would come a day this season where I would be putting Benny Mac’s name in these pieces, but he’s found new life of late. He’s been between 28 and 31 FP in three of his last four games and the Kings seem determined to give him yet another long look as they try and rebuild their team. The matchup is tasty, McLemore is starting, and if he gets 25 minutes tonight against the Lakers you’ll probably love the result.

Jamal Murray – Denver Nuggets ($4500): I mentioned earlier that Jameer Nelson looks to be out again so Murray makes for a great play if that’s the case. He just had a nice 16/5/5 game good for 31.5 FP against New Orleans and it’s not like there will be much defense played in this meaningless game. Give the kid 15 shots again tonight and he will exceed value.

J.R. Smith – Cleveland Cavaliers ($4400): J.R. is back in full and back to jacking shots early and often. We wouldn’t have it any other way. He’s averaging almost nine three-point attempts per game over his last three games and Atlanta is in the bottom half of the league when it comes to defending the 3-point shot.

Wes Matthews – Dallas Mavericks ($4600): It’s odd but Matthews has excelled against the Spurs this season, averaging 35.5 FP per game over three contests, and he’s shot 44 percent from long distance against them. The Spurs are also resting the majority of their starting lineup, and with the Mavs eliminated we’ll have to see if Seth Curry remains out and if they even play Dirk tonight.
