10. The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton – WrestleMania 21

This is originally where the streak was supposed to stop but Orton refused to go through with it, even though he was running strong with The Legend Killer gimmick at the time. They even used one of The Undertaker’s past WrestleMania opponents, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, during the build to the interpromotional matchup at WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles. Orton’s father, WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton, was also used as he begged The Undertaker to show mercy on his son but was ultimately there as a decoy as Orton hit an RKO on The Deadman on the go-home episode of SmackDown.

Orton was very cocky at the start of this one as he slapped The Undertaker in the face before hitting a very nice dropkick. He went for an RKO early but ‘Taker simply caught him and chucked him over the top rope in a pretty sweet counter. ‘Taker hit the legdrop on the apron and “Old School” but missed a boot in the corner and was sent to the apron, then to the floor. Once they were back in the ring, Orton hit a nice clothesline but ran into a nice running DDT from The Deadman, followed by a sidewalk slam for a two count. After some back and forth, including what looked like a missed spot on a clothesline, ‘Taker locked in a sleeper that had Orton out for a moment and we got the old-school dropping of the arm. One time. Two times. But on the third time, Orton hit a beautiful DDT counter and slapped on a sleeper of his own but The Undertaker turned it into a back suplex but soon ran right into Orton’s quick powerslam.

Orton went for another RKO but was pushed right into the referee, which caused Bob Orton to come in and hit ‘Taker with that cast he’s been wearing for 20 years. He rolled his son on top and the ref came to for a nice near fall. Bob ended up eating a boot on the apron once ‘Taker was up and he then went for a chokeslam but Randy turned it into a phenomenal RKO counter. Beautiful spot there. But it was only a two count so to finish off The Deadman, the cocky youngster went for a Tombstone but The Undertaker reversed into one of his own to get the 1-2-3. Fun match. 13-0.
