Travis Jankowski

OF,

The San Diego Padres will likely finish at the bottom of the NL West this season, but that does not mean there isn’t some good talented players in their lineup. While Travis Jankowski usually bats towards the bottom of the lineup, he is a pretty productive player. He is likely available no matter what platform you use for fantasy baseball, but he could see his percent owned increase as the year goes on.

Jankowski has nice speed, and on the Padres, he is likely going to play everyday. He does need to cut down on his strikeouts, but when he does get on base, he usually is looking to swipe a bag. Last season, Jankowski notched 30 stolen bases, which is good production no matter which way you look at it. Every fantasy team needs a guy who can steal bases, and plugging in Jankowski may just win you a week or two throughout the season.

He is going to be a big part of what they do in San Diego this season, and with consistent plate appearances, there is no reason he cannot swipe 40 bags in 2017. He also does a nice job scoring runs, and while he does bat towards the bottom of the order, we can see him scoring 60 or so runs this season. He is a nice player, and if you have some open utility spots in your lineup, you may want to plug him in if you are in need of some stolen bases and runs.
