Daniel Norris

P,

The 23-year-old left-hander will be the third man in the rotation behind guys like Michael Fulmer and Justin Verlander, but he should produce none the less. Norris appeared in 14 games last season for the Tigers, making 13 starts, but he pitched very well for the team. In those starts, Norris posted a 3.38 earned run average, while striking out better than a batter per inning.

The issue with Norris has been staying healthy, which is the plan for the 2017 season. He has the talent to be a very good lefty in this league, and the Tigers have a lineup that is going to score their fair share of runs. Expect a big season out of Norris, who surprisingly is not owned in nearly all formats across fantasy baseball platforms.

Norris was a big time prospect during his time with the Toronto Blue Jays, but he is probably most known for sleeping in his van in Walmart parking lots. Still, the talent is there, and if the Tigers do win the AL Central this season, it will be because Norris had a big season. Take a chance with Norris is he is still on your waiver wire, because he is going to get strikeouts, and has proved he can keep that earned run average well under 4.00.
