Raul Mondesi

2B,

The Kansas City Royals have a nice team once again in 2017, and should find themselves back in the postseason if they can stay healthy. One player who should see big time growth over last season in Raul Mondesi, who is going to be the team’s everyday second baseman this season. He is still such a young kid, but has the tools to be a premier player at his position before long.

The second base position is a premium one in fantasy baseball, as once you get past guys like Robinson Cano, Jose Altuve, and Ian Kinsler, there are maybe five or so more names that people covet. Mondesi could be a player that, by years end, is putting up some solid statistics across the board. He has had a rough start to the season, but things should pick up for him as he gets more at-bats.

Mondesi is going to get you stolen bases, as he has some elite speed. This Royals lineup is going to score runs, and he is going to be a beneficiary of that as the seasons wears on. He is a player who you could pick up in almost every league right now, but also has keeper potential, and playing on the Royals, you know he is going to have his opportunities to produce for you this season.
