D'Onta Foreman

Running back, Texas

The Bucs will continue to build their core of offensive players around Jameis Winston. The team has shown some disinterest in Doug Martin, and with the coaching staff that drafted him no longer being in Tampa Bay, his days with the Bucs are limited. They can start that process off next year by giving Foreman the lion’s share of the carries and see what they have in a potential future starter.

The Bucs have Winston and added some receiving threats, but this is still a team that wants to win by running the ball to set up the pass. Foreman is great between the tackles as a runner, and while he profiles like a power back, his footwork and shiftiness show that he can play a finesse style. He uses his size to build up momentum and breakaway speed in the open field. With his speed and strength in the open field, he is extremely hard to bring down and he is a big play waiting to happen.

Foreman fits the Bucs style, fills a need and is a talent who seems to be slipping mainly because he sat out at the combine. Still, the 50th pick should be the lowest he falls, and like Njoku, the Bucs should be licking their chops hoping that he is around at pick 50 because he would be an amazing compliment to the core being established in Tampa Bay.
