3. Rudy Gobert — 27 points, 25 rebounds, 2 blocks vs. DAL

You didn’t expect to see Rudy Gobert’s name on this list, did you?

Well, he will be the answer to the trivia question of who had the most rebounds in the 2017-16 NBA season. On Jan. 20 in Dallas, the surprising Jazz went into American Airlines Center and pulled out a 112-107 OT win.

That win was thanks in large part to Gobert’s dominating 20-20 game. Gobert has become a breakout star this season, and his game against Dallas was basically his coming-out party. In addition to scoring 27 points, he snatched 25 rebounds, which, to this day, an NBA season-high,

There is no doubt that Gobert’s development has helped the Jazz become one of the sleeper teams in the Western Conference, and you can point to this game as the one where the lanky 7-1 center fully realized his potential.
