Live long and gamble, O Bachelor Party-Going Nerds, because Star Trek themed gambling games are coming to Atlantic City very soon.

Are you a sci-fi fan who hates going to bachelor parties in Atlantic City casinos because you can’t bear to pull down a lever and see a Britney Spears-themed slot machine which inevitably plays “Hit Me Baby One More Time” when you come up with snake eyes? We feel your pain, which is why we were absolutely thrilled when we found out that Star Trek themed gambling games were coming to a galaxy near you (or, more like, the Atlantic City boardwalk, but who’s splitting hairs…)

NJ.com brought us the scoop: apparently, it’s because of a partnership between Game Co. and CBS, and will be based on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Players will have a chance to play on the USS Defiant, and it will involve ship-to-ship combat. Your score from the ship-to-ship combat will determine how little — or how much — money you make.

This will be the first skill-based game with a Star Trek theme in the Atlantic City casinos.

The game, which will be released in the fall, is just the first of many Star Trek themed gambling games. Other games will be based on the O.G. Star Trek, The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise.

Game Co. supplies machines exclusively to Harrah’s, Bally’s, Caesar’s and Tropicana. There’s no word on whether the games will also be available in Harrah’s Bally’s, Caesar’s, and Tropicana in Las Vegas.

In addition to making Star Trek themed gambling games, the company also made another skill-based game — Danger Arena — that was unveiled at Harrah’s Caesar’s, and Bally’s this past November.
