Pitchers

High Salary Options

Clayton Kershaw $12600 – Kershaw is only allowing an average of .177 to left-handed batters and .224 to right-handed batters. The Diamondbacks strike out 23% of the time against left-handed pitching and Kershaw strikes out all of his opponents 31% of the time. The Diamondbacks also have the lowest implied run total on the slate today sitting at only two. Everything seems to be point to a great day on the mound and a high scoring day in your lineup. ****

Noah Syndergaard $11200 – Syndergaard is pitching fantastic from the mound so far this year with 16 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched and only allowing one earned run. He owns a 3-0 record against the Marlins over his career while striking out 38 batters over 27 innings. In his last start, also against the Marlins, he only allowed five hits and struck out nine batters while on the way to his first win of the season. Tonight will be his second. ****

High Value Option

Julio Teheran $8500 – In 13 innings pitched so far this season, Teheran has yet to allow a run to cross the plate. Through two games he has collected two quality starts, ten strikeouts and allowed ten hits. Today he is facing a Padres team that strikes out 25% of the time against right-handed pitchers and may struggle to score runs with one of the lowest implied run totals on the slate. Teheran does not have as high of a ceiling as the two options above, but he will provide enough fantasy points to be worth his lower salary. **

Catchers

High Salary Option

Salvador Perez $3100 – Perez has already smashed four home runs on the year, batting in five runs and scoring five times. The Royals have the highest implied run total on the slate today and have a great matchup against the Angels righty J.C. Ramirez. Ramirez has allowed right-handed batters to hit .331 against him and will not stand much of a chance to hold this offense down. **

High Value Option

Jason Castro $2800 – Castro is averaging 13.43 fantasy points in just seven games played and he gets a good matchup as a left-handed batter today against the White Sox righty Dylan Covey. The Twins have the second best implied run total today and need to score runs to win this game. ***
