First Base

High Salary Option

Freddie Freeman $3800 – Freeman is hitting .333 on the year with three home runs and six runs scored. He is getting on base at a high rate and gets a good matchup against the Padres lefty Jhoulys Chacin today. Chacin is allowing left-handed batters to slash .332 against him and will be dragging an 8.10 earned run average on to the mound today. Fire away Freeman. ***

High Value Option

Edwin Encarnacion $3400 – Encarnacion is only hitting .156 on the season with one home run and two runs scored. The big offseason acquisition has stumbled a bit out of the gate in Cleveland, but has a chance to rebound today at home. He gets a good matchup against the Tigers lefty Daniel Norris and the Indians are projected to score over four runs today. There is still plenty of risk with this pick, but if he does break out today, he will be worth every penny spent. *

Third Base

High Salary Option

Miguel Sano $3400 – Sano is off to one of the hottest starts to the season, slashing three home runs, batting in 11 runs, and scoring 10 times. He gets another good matchup today against the White Sox righty Dylan Covey and will be a large part of an offense projected to score almost five runs in this game. Stick with the hot bat. ****

High Value Option

Mike Moustakas $3000 – The Moose is batting .294 on the year with three home runs and six runs scored and has recorded at least one hit in every game except for one. The Royals have the highest implied run total on the slate today and Moustakas gets a great matchup against the Angels right J.C. Ramirez, so look for him to take advantage. **
