3. Isaiah is so important for both teams

Isaiah Thomas has been absolutely phenomenal this season. Not only has he solidified himself as the “Fourth quarter magician,” but he has been unstoppable from start to finish.

Thomas has assumed the role of “primary scorer” for the Celtics and he has flourished. He is scoring 28.9 points per game, which is about six more points than he was scoring last year. However, as good as his offense is, his defense has been just as bad. It’s not for lack of effort, but his height makes him a consistent liability at that end.

Thomas may very well be the worst defender in the league, in terms of overall impact. When the Celtics play a top point guard, Thomas often gets exposed. He makes the worst guards look like they should be starting for the Warriors.

If the Bulls can slow down Thomas, and take advantage of him at the other end, they can easily push this series to six, maybe seven games.
