High Value PG

Rajon Rondo, CHI at BOS ($6600): Rondo’s emotional return to Boston as a playoff opponent was completely overshadowed by the emotion of Isaiah Thomas playing after his sister’s death. This seemed to suit Rondo well, as he scored 12 points with eight rebounds, six assists and three combined blocks/steals in only 27 minutes before he picked up his fifth foul midway through the fourth and had to go to the bench. He appears primed for another strong effort in Game 2. ****

George Hill, UTA at LAC ($5700): Hill was relatively quiet in Game 1, deferring a lot of his usual scorer/team-running to the red-hot Joe Johnson. He still managed 16 points, four boards and two steals but will likely look to pick up the pace in Game 2. ***

Malcolm Brogdon, MIL at TOR ($5600): Brogdon had a strong playoffs debut, scoring 16 points with six rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot against the Raptors. These numbers were very similar to the 17 points, five rebounds and three assists that he produced the last time he faced the Raptors in March. His expected value, therefore, seems pretty set for Game 2. ***
