High Salary C

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs UTA ($7700): Jordan scored 10 points with 15 boards, three blocks and a steal in Game 1. This season, Jordan’s numbers have been attenuated against the Jazz, largely due to the defensive dominance of Rudy Gobert. With Gobert out again in Game 2, Jordan has the opportunity to put a number on the board similar to the upper 30s/lower 40s of fantasy points that have been his average over the past several weeks. ****

Al Horford, BOS vs CHI ($7100): Horford had struggled a bit against the Bulls this season, in line with their record of allowing few fantasy points to opposing centers. Horford broke out with 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in Game 1, though. That may be repeatable, but keep in mind that it is an outlier positive performance versus what he’s done against the Bulls in their other meetings this season. ***

Greg Monroe, MIL at TOR ($5900): Monroe scored 14 points with 15 boards, two blocks and a steal in Game 1 against the Raptors. The last time he faced the Raptors, last month, he managed only four points and six rebounds. However, Monroe has played well of late, and this was the third time he had surpassed 30 fantasy points in the last four games. ***

High Value C

Robin Lopez, CHI at BOS ($5100): Lopez scored 14 points with 10 rebounds against the Celtics in Game 1. His 26 fantasy points were almost identical to the 25.1 he produced in his last game against the Celtics last month, and are right in line with the 21 – 30 fantasy points he had scored in five straight games leading up to the playoffs. ***

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR vs MIL ($5000): Valanciunas scored only nine points with nine boards in Game 1, overall pretty similar to the 13 points and seven boards he produced the last time he faced the Bucks last month. He had generally performed better since then, though, as Saturday’s 18.8 fantasy points were only his second score under 23 fantasy points in his last 10 games. ***

Kelly Olynyk, BOS vs CHI ($4400): Olynyk scored seven points with four boards, three assists, three blocks and two steals for 26.3 fantasy points in 23 minutes in Game 1. He entered the game having scored between 20.7 and 34.2 fantasy points in his previous three games, and he produced 27.5 fantasy points the last time he faced the Bulls last month. This sets a reasonable expected value in the mid-20s of fantasy points for Olynyk in Game 2, not bad for his price. ****
