Second Base

High Salary Option

Rougned Odor $3200 – Odor is hitting just .214 on the season, but has three home runs, eight runs batted in, and six runs to increase his fantasy numbers. Even though he has slumped the past week, he is still averaging 9.16 fantasy points per game and possesses the power to hit on out of the park on any given night. His chances increase tonight though when he faces the Athletics righty Jesse Hahn, as he allows left handed batters to smash .403 against him. ***

High Value Option

Starlin Castro $2800 – Castro is on fire to start the season, hitting .364 with two home runs, seven runs batted in, and seven runs scored. He gets an amazing matchup this evening against the White Sox righty Dylan Covey, who allows right handed batters to hit .439 against him. Covey only strikes out 4% of his opposing batters, basically guaranteeing that Castro will make contact with some pitches, and if he stays consistent with his average they will be fair balls. ****

Shortstop

High Salary Option

Francisco Lindor $4100 – Lindor has been unstoppable this season, recording a hit in each of his last twelve games while slashing a .351 batting average. He has four home runs, 10 runs batted in, and 13 runs scored on the year and gets another great matchup tonight against the Twins lefty Adalberto Mejia. Mejia has been allowing both left and right handed batters to smash the ball against him and he only strikes out opposing batters nine percent of the time so you know Lindor is going to make contact with a ball. The Indians are projected one of the highest implied run totals of the day and Lindor will be catalyst that sparks the team. *****

High Value Option

Addison Russell $2700 – Looking past Lindor, the options at shortstop thin quickly today. However, if you find yourself in a position that you simply can not pay up for Lindor, than Russell is your next best play. He gets a good matchup against the Brewers lefty Tommy Milone and his 7.36 earned run average. Milone allows right handed batters to hit .370 against him so Russell should have no problem scoring a respectable sum of points today. *
