Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw believes Colorado Rockies pitcher Tyler Anderson showed him disrespect at the beginning of Wednesday game.

You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t spit into the wind and you don’t make Clayton Kershaw wait to start a game.

The Dodgers’ ace was not happy he had to delay his first pitch Wednesday night against the Rockies as Colorado starter Tyler Anderson sauntered to the dugout from the bullpen after  his pregame warm-up tosses.

"“I mean, that was one of the more disrespectful things I have been a part of in a game,” the three-time Cy Young winner told reporters after the game.  “I really didn’t appreciate that. The game starts at 7:10 and has started at 7:10 here for a long time. Just go around, or finish earlier. But yeah, that wasn’t appreciated, for sure.”"

After the slightly late start, Kershaw allowed a walk and two singles to load the bases with no outs before striking out Carlos Gonzalez in the first inning. He limited the damage, allowing just one run on a sacrifice fly.

Kershaw went on to pitch seven innings while striking out 10 and earning his third win of the season.

Anderson, a 27-year-old lefty making his 23rd major league start, said he did not intentionally cause the delay.

"“I threw a few extra pitches in the bullpen before the game,” he  said. “I didn’t mean any disrespect by it. I was surprised the umpire didn’t let him pitch.”"
