High Salary and Value PF

Kevin Love, CLE at IND ($8200): Love bounced back from a pedestrian Game 1, producing 44.7 fantasy points in Game 2. In the three games that he has played against the Pacers in the last few weeks, Love has scored 31.9, 24.3 and now 44.7 fantasy points. His production has been a bit volatile, bouncing around his 35.7 fantasy point season average instead of hitting it consistently. This makes him a higher variance prospect in Game 3, on the road, but high-variance prospects can be valuable in tournament play…if they hit. ***

LaMarcus Aldridge, SA at MEM ($6100): Aldridge produced only 19.3 fantasy points in 42 minutes in Game 2, down from 30.2 fantasy points in 30 minutes in Game 1 against the Grizzlies. Aldridge’s playoff numbers have been down from his in-season performance against the Grizz, as he averaged over 35 fantasy points against them in three March/April meetings. He therefore could be a reasonable bounce-back candidate in Game 3, though that is a bit risky to project sense the Grizzlies are a great interior defensive team and will be playing at home. **

Serge Ibaka, TOR at MIL ($5800): Ibaka scored 36.4 fantasy points in Game 2 against the Bucks, backing up the 40.8 fantasy points he scored in Game 1. He has been the best, most consistent fantasy producer for the Raptors through the first two games of the playoffs, and also had strong performances against the Bucks in the regular season. Factor in his still-low price, and he looks like very good value moving into Game 3 on Thursday. *****

Thaddeus Young, IND vs CLE ($5400): Young scored 33.1 fantasy points in 33 minutes of Game 2 against the Cavaliers, after producing 22.8 fantasy points in 33 minutes against them in Game 1. This follows up 29.8 fantasy points in 29 minutes against them in their last regular season meeting last month, and establishes an expected value in the upper 20s of fantasy points for Young in Game 3. ***
