NFL schedule release: 10 best games of 2017

5. Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys
While the Dallas Cowboys didn’t play the Seattle Seahawks in a game that counted last season, their preseason Week 3 was the most impactful game of the season. It ushered in a change of guard at the Dallas quarterback position.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke a bone in his back scrambling out of the pocket. With his backup Kellen Moore having already broke his foot, this gave way to fourth-round rookie quarterback Dak Prescott. The rest is history.
Prescott’s Cowboys went 13-3 in 2016 to have the best record in the NFC. However, that did not translate to playoff success. Dallas dropped an absolute heartbreaker at home on a last-second field goal by Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby to win the NFC divisional round game.
Though the Cowboys are semi-thankful that the Seattle pass rush paved the way for Prescott to be their starting quarterback, many in Cowboys Nation are still bitter that Seattle broke Romo’s back in the preseason. This could be a huge primetime game in the NFC. Being that it is in Arlington, there is almost no way this isn’t a primetime game on the NFL slate.
Dallas and Seattle should be favored to win their respective divisions again. Seattle should cakewalk unless the Arizona Cardinals stay healthy. Dallas will have to fend off all three divisional foes in a tight NFC East this upcoming season.
