1. Which quarterback will replace DeShone Kizer?

The biggest question mark heading into the 2017 season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is who will be under center to start the season. The favorite to win the job is Brandon Wimbush, who is a player who can do everything from the quarterback position. In order to be the team’s starter, he will have to stave off Ian Book, who is going to get every opportunity to win the job this preseason.

Heading into the Blue-Gold Spring Game, it will be interesting to see which quarterback can move their unit the best. The hope for Notre Dame fans is that Wimbush will win the job outright, but Book is a solid quarterback in his own right. DeShone Kizer is an NFL-ready quarterback, but he struggled at times last season for the Fighting Irish, so it is not like whoever takes over will be replacing someone who led the team to a ton of wins last season.

The odds are that Wimbush will win the job, and the Spring Game will give the Fighting Irish faithful their first real look at him. A third-year sophomore, Wimbush will not only be replacing a potential first round pick, but also will have the tall task of turning the Notre Dame program back into a national power. He is going to have his bumps along the way, but he has enough talent to win at least more games than he loses next season.
