Corey Davis

WR, Western Michigan

The Baltimore Ravens missed out on the playoffs once again in 2016, and after the season ended, they found out that wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. will retire from football. That leaves a glaring hole at the wide receiver position, and it is likely they will fill it via the NFL Draft. Corey Davis from Western Michigan is a guy who could go into the league next year and do damage, which is exactly what quarterback Joe Flacco needs.

On defense, the Ravens are getting old, but they did bring in some talent this offseason. They re-signed Brandon Williams along the defensive line, and brought in Tony Jefferson from the Arizona Cardinals to play safety alongside Eric Weddle. In addition to Jefferson, Brandon Carr was brought into play corner, so they should be much better against the pass. If the Ravens can score, they should win games, and Davis can help them do just that.

Playing for Western Michigan, it is hard to get publicity, but Davis nearly led his Broncos team to an undefeated season in 2016. He plays with incredible passion, which is what fans of the Baltimore Ravens expect out of their players. Flacco still has one of the best arms in the league, and a player like Davis will enable him to stretch the field, which should give them an advantage over the rest of their AFC North foes.
