29. Tim Hardaway

Most famous for his time spent with the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat, Tim Hardaway is a guy that often doesn’t get his just due when looking back over what he was able to accomplish in this league. Of course, much of that does have to do with the fact that he was never able to win a title. Another part of that might be the fact that he didn’t have an exceptional amount of longevity in the league. Ultimately, though, it’s hard to discredit him.

To better get a grasp of what Hardaway did throughout his career, it’s better to look at what his numbers looked like during those 11 seasons with the Heat and Warriors, before his final years in the league where he was a shell of himself and ultimately hurt his career numbers. Over the course of those 11 years, Hardaway averaged 18.6 points, 8.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per contest. While his 43.5 percent shooting and 35.6 percent on 3-point attempts isn’t going to wow anyone, they were solid marks for that era.

What people also fail to remember when it comes to Hardaway is how particularly iconic he was at times. Whether it was as part of Run-TMC for that brief run in Golden State or him making his own name for himself on behalf of his vicious crossover with the Heat. He was simply a beast and people recognized it then. They should probably do a better job nowadays.
