High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs HOU ($13,900): Westbrook just dropped a 96.5 fantasy point effort in Game 2, and his team still lost to fall behind 2 – 0. Thus, he’ll need a similar huge performance in Game 3 to keep the team in the series. In his last 10 outings, Westbrook has three games over 90 fantasy points, one over 80, and another two over 70. Using the six times rule, Westbrook would need to score 82.5 fantasy points to be worth his price tag. There’s a legitimate chance he does it. ****

Chris Paul, LAC at UT ($9100): Paul has been playing at a high level for weeks, a legitimate nightly expectation of 50 fantasy points. On Friday, he leads his Clippers into Utah for a Game 3 in which the winner takes control of the series. Also, Rudy Gobert is still out which means no defensive anchor for the Jazz. Look for Paul to play at his best. ****

Isaiah Thomas, BOS at CHI ($8500): Thomas had a good effort in Game 1, but in Game 2 he struggled a bit. In the time since, he reportedly left the team briefly for personal reasons about the death of his sister. He returns for Game 3 with his team, the top seed in the East, down 0 – 2 and on the road. If he can keep his head clear despite his personal tragedy, we should see the best that he has to offer on Friday in a must-win game with nemesis Rajon Rondo out injured. ****
