8. 1994-95 Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics are up once again in the order. After the championship run with Larry Bird, the Celtics had to endure life without him in the early 90’s and beyond. It says something when an aging Dominique Wilkins was one of the best players on the 1994-95 Celtics.

This team was bad and had quite the roster of players thrown together. Nonetheless, the Celtics managed to back their way into the playoffs that year with a 35-47 record.

They were taken to task by the Orlando Magic and only managed to win one game in the playoffs. After the Celtics were eliminated, things just went from bad to worse for the franchise that wasn’t used to losing.

A 15-win season would be on the horizon not long after that and they wouldn’t make the playoffs again until the 2001-02 season. That long of a drought without playoffs in Boston was something people hadn’t seen before. Their one taste of the playoffs in between was with a losing record and a bad team.
