1. 1952-53 Baltimore Bullets

When it comes to NBA records, a good chunk of them were set decades ago. When the league was a lot smaller and there was a great talent disparity among teams, it was easy for crazy stats to be put up and for teams to do things that just wouldn’t be done today.

The schedule was also 70 games and it mean getting in with wins in the 20’s was normal for the time. However, the 1952-53 Baltimore Bullets will forever hold the record for the worst playoff team in history.

This is just something that isn’t even up for debate. At a ridiculous 16-54, the Bullets found themselves in the postseason because the Philadelphia Warriors were terrible enough to only win 12 games.

The worst playoff team on the other side of the bracket at least won 29 games. With the amount of talent in the league and teams today, this is something that will never be broken. The Bullets were eliminated quickly in two games by the New York Knicks.
