27. 2014-15 Brooklyn Nets

There’s a growing trend here of Eastern Conference teams getting into the playoffs with a bad record. That’s not to say the Western Conference hasn’t had some bad teams get in, but it’s indicative of the stronghold at the top and the nothingness at the bottom.

As the Brooklyn Nets tried to go for broke in the 2014-15 season, before they plunged it into a mess that’s going to take a while to clean up, they managed to get one more run in them. Of course, it’s not really a run when they went 38-44.

Everyone knew this was the end for the Nets and that the long painful road ahead was around the corner. With no draft picks in sight and plenty of overpaid players, the Nets really did it to themselves this time.

The biggest miracle with this is that they managed to take two games from the No. 1 seed Atlanta Hawks. Those could very well be their last playoff wins for quite a while until they get more young talent on their roster and get out from under this mess that they have been left with.
