John Ross

Wide Receiver, Washington Huskies

If the Tennessee Titans want to win the AFC South and challenge the likes of New England, Pittsburgh and Kansas City over the next year or two, they need to upgrade the receivers room. While the running back and offensive line groups are elite, Marcus Mariota is working without much help on the outside. Tajae Sharpe and Rishard Matthews are nice players, but neither projects to be a top weapon. However, both profile as nice secondary options, especially with Delanie Walker commanding respect in the middle of the field.

With that in mind, John Ross would be a quality addition. Ross has had some injury troubles in college, but if healthy, he represents an elite deep threat. With the Huskies, Ross missed all of 2015 with a torn ACL but rebounded nicely last year, hauling in 17 touchdowns on 1,150 yards. Ross would immediately become the biggest threat to any opposing defense, and one that could be the difference between stagnating at 9-7 or getting into the playoffs. Last year, Matthews led the team with 945 receiving yards. There’s an urgency for general manager Jon Robinson to upgrade the position, helping his third-year quarterback.
