The Oakland Raiders are fascinating. After going 12-4 last year, there is plenty of talk that Oakland is ready to take off and become the biggest challenge to the New England Patriots in the AFC. The Raiders, who are loaded with talent offensively including Derek Carr, Amari Cooper and the second-best line in the league. However, general manager Reggie McKenzie has to do major work on the defensive side of the ball to make the Raiders a true Super Bowl contender.
Luckily for McKenzie, the Raiders are going to have ample options in the first round toward that goal. With a bevy of high-end pass rusher and corners, Gareon Conley wins out. Conley played in an incredible factory at Ohio State, that churned Eli Apple out last year, along with Marshon Lattimore and Malik Hooker in this class. Conley would immediately become the No. 2 corner on Oakland, sliding in opposite Sean Smith, who could be cut after this season. At 6-feet and 195 pounds, Conley gives the Raiders nice size on the perimeter to go with athleticism and speed.
